One night, at a police station in Israel, a mother desperately searches for her teenage son who has been missing for hours. Against a wall of bureaucracy, she attempts to piece together information from social media posts, various accounts, and official police reports, which gradually reveal a stark portrait of life in 2020 Israel for Ethiopian-Israeli citizens. Systemic challenges, institutional bias, and terms like "disproportionate policing" and "discriminatory enforcement," all too familiar to the Ethiopian-Israeli community, converge into one harrowing night for a mother who simply wants to know where her child is.
